Proline selection of its "TH" DIGITAL sensor cable and "ZI" Interface unit range and "Zense" FIBRE OPTIC LHS systems considers the importance of being able to identify -at the earliest opportunity- any abnormal increase in local temperatures which could present risks to investment and human life... if allowed to progress.
The addition of the ZENSE system utilises 21st century technology to allow market leading temperature monitoring, location and trend (direction of movement of the abnormal condition) indication together with enhanced graphic displays and provides multiple output communication options. Further increasing the fire PREVENTION potential for an LHS system.
Proline digital LHS cable can also be directly connected to any existing/proposed central fire alarm system panel- but without alarm point location feature.
The Company does not endorse resistance averaging LHS systems (i.e.analog/analogue systems) - where accurate alarm temperature specification and location is not possible without first being able to specify the exact length of sensor cable that will be exposed in an overheat or fire condition. This same operating concept can have significant "zone" length restrictions within high ambient temperature risk areas and is unlikely to offer any recoverability feature under alarm conditions because of its reliance on its temperature/length/resistance relationship. Localised exposure= high alarm temperature.
Pressurised tube (corrosion or mechanical damage resulting in loss of pressure , false alarm and extinguishant discharge) and hybrid electronic circuit location systems (with maximum sensitivity restricted by the1m,2m,4m,8m spacing between heat sensitive circuits) are other LHS concepts NOT endorsed by Proline Protection Systems Ltd.
