Laser Aspirated Smoke Detectors- LASD
The LASD range of Aspirated Smoke Detectors promoted by PROLINE , is one of a new generation of high sensitive detectors incorporated within the Company product portfolio to compliment its principle LINEAR HEAT DETECTION capability.
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
A single channel (LASD1)or dual channel (LASD2) detector will provide 1000 square metres per channel maximum area coverage via individual pipes connected to a maximum 100metres / channel in length. Small sampling holes are pre-drilled in each pipe at regular intervals enabling total area coverage far greater than that offered by point type detectors. A high performance "aspirator"and flow monitoring circuit ensures a constant monitored flow level, with a comprehansive display of smoke levels displayed on a 10 element bar -with adjustments for high and low flow thresholds. The LASD1 has three alarm levels which may be configured to suit local environmental conditions - allowing its successful installation and operation within a range of adverse environments, open and confined risk areas. The unit also provides "closed loop" sampling making it particularly suitble for prison cells and / or similar areas. To minimise false discharges of associated extinguishing systems, the LASD2 may be configured to require both detectors to alarm before actuation ( co-incidence or double knock detection). The use of the LASD2 two seperate detection chambers precludes the need for use of two independant detector units. The LASD unit incorporates in-line air filters to remove dust particles and debris from air samples. The filters are housed in removable transparent cartridges, thus enabling rapid inspection and maintenance. An RS232 Modbus port maybe used to download all the logged data, which in turn can be used for "event"or "trend" indication monitoring.
