MANUAL CALL POINT WIRING

As  FM approved and UL listed linear temperature sensors, Proline TH68 / TH88 / TH105 provide  combined detectors and cables which can be installed at the exact point of risk.
Monitoring at ANY and ALL points along its length for abnormal temperature increases 24/7.

In addition to being an overheat detector in its own right, the benefits of using this sensor cable as the wiring medium for manual call point zones should not be difficult to understand...........

• If a cable has to be installed, why not one which is also a detector.
• What if an incipient fire condition remained undetected - perhaps because air pressure in a corridor of a hotel or hospital ( for example) was keeping smoke from a fire at floor level ....away from the ceiling mounted point type smoke detector.
• Imagine also that the described fire occured between 02:00 and 04:00 when there was no-one around to operate a manual call point
• The resultant potential increased loss of human life could have been simply and economically  prevented or minimised

All that is required is the use of Proline as the wiring for the call point zone/s.  Its installation just above floor level along the corridor provides an ADDITIONAL  automatic means of detecting overheat or fire conditions at little additional cost to the end user customer....who would normally have had to purchase short term fire-proof cabling for call point wiring anyway.

At manual call point (MCP) locations, the Proline sensor cable would be installed within conduit between floor and call point wall location to consider any increased risk of mechanical damage at these points.

Where local electrical wiring standards specify a conductor size larger than the 0.912mm of the sensor cable and/or where 2 hour fire rating is required for cables used for MCP wiring, Proline TH sensor cable can be installed adjacent to the required cable to provide an economic additional level of overheat/fire detection.

Where the Proline TH sensor cable was also used in conjunction with an optional ZI-01 interface unit, an additional benefit of ALARM POINT LOCATION could be offered. Ensuring the most prompt response to alarm signals and identification of the origin of the alarm - the sensor cable or a manual call point operation. 

Proline is compatible with ALL central fire alarm and Building Management Control panels. Integration by direct connection to a switch monitor/input module in an address loop or by including a "ZI" interface unit with coloured LCD, Alarm point location, volt free contact outputs ( fire & fault) as a minimum. 

 Pre-Alarm, ambient rise warning, multiple programmable alarm outputs, continued operation with fault condition registered, and more additional features - depending on ZI model specified.
