Interface Unit - ZI-04
ZI-04 is a multi channel interface whereby 4 x ZI-01 single channel units are independently mounted within a single enclosure. The interface offers 4 x ALARM and 4 x FAULT outputs and is for direct or indirect (via interconnecting cables) connection to 4 (four) lengths of Proline "TH" digital linear temperature sensing cables. The front cover allows visual display of the status of each of the four ZI-01's ... Normal, Fault or Alarm conditions with the alarm signal also visually displaying the alarm point location on that zone/channel. (the above illustration indicates an alarm on channel 4, located at 1492 metres along the installed sensor cable).
The accuracy of alarm location is maintained by a simple "push button"calibration procedure at commissioning stage. This removes any interconnecting cable resistance which may have been incorporated into the detection circuit during installation and ensures any future reading and display will relate specifically to the distance of the alarm along the installed sensor cable.
