Linear Heat Detection

Flame Detectors

At PROLINE PROTECTION SYSTEMS LTD, the development and Introduction of our Internationally approved range of linear heat detection products and accessories provide our customers and distributors with the perfect solution for detection of overheat and fire conditions throughout a diverse range of applications - where associated environmental conditions may - in many cases - be best described as "aggressive"!

To compliment our  linear heat detection capability, we are pleased to offer a range of FLAME DETECTORS which have themselves been specifically designed to monitor levels of Ultra Violet (UV) , Infra-red (IR) or combination of both within similar environments. The detector manufacturers are considered by many to be amongst the market leaders in the fields of UV and IR detection. We therefore see the addition of this range of detectors to our "product portfolio" to be a further step forward in our aim  to provide quality products at competitive prices to our Internationally based customers who specialise in the design and supply of "special hazard" detection.

This UV Flame Detector incorporates a special logic circuit that helps prevent false alarms caused by solar radiation.
Both U and UB models are self-contained, optical flame detectors that function as stand-alone units directly connected to external devices such as alarm systems or automatic fire extinguishing systems.
The UV detectors are particularly useful for detection of invisible flames from fuels such as: Hydrogen, Hydrides, Ammonia, Silane and other inorganic fuels.

The 20/20R Flame Detector was designed to provide early warning of flaming fires involving organic (hydrocarbon fuels and vapors) materials. The detector contains an infrared sensor and optical filter that provides maximum sensitivity to the CO2 emission spectral band at 4.4 microns and improved immunity to false alarms caused by environmental IR emitting sources, including sunlight and IR projectors. The detector was designed to withstand "harsh" environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, high humidity, vibrations, etc.

This UV/IR flame detector senses energy in the short wave section of both the ultraviolet and infrared portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The sensor band pass has been carefully selected to ensure the greatest degree of spectral matching to the radiant energy emissions of fire, and the lowest degree of matching to non-fire stimuli.
The UV sensor incorporates a special logic circuit that helps prevent false alarms caused by solar radiation.
The IR sensor is sensitive to radiation over the range of 2.5 to 3.0 microns. The signals from both sensors are analyzed for frequency, intensity and duration. Simultaneous matching of radiant energy in both the UV and IR sensors triggers an alarm signal.

The SharpEye Triple IR (IR3) Optical Flame Detector (20/20I) is a self-contained, triple-spectrum flame detector.
The optical sensors and filters have been carefully selected to ensure the greatest degree of spectral matching to the radiant energy emissions of fire, and the lowest degree of matching to non-fire stimuli.
The patented Triple IR (IR3) circuit design scans for oscillating IR radiation (1 to 10 Hz) in the spectral bands ranging from 4.0 to 5.0 microns. This highly advanced detector uses programmable algorithms which check the ratio and correlation of data received by the three sensors.
The microprocessor design allows for unique field programmability not found in similar detectors, making the 20/20I highly immune to false alarms.
The detector has applications in a wide range of industrial and commercial facilities, where the threat of accidental fire involves hydrocarbon fuels, such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, aviation jet fuels like JP-4, JP-5, JP-8, hydraulic fluids, paints and
solvents, hydrocarbon gases like ethylene and polyethylene, natural gas (LNG), town gas, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), methane, ethane, propane, etc.

The patented Triple IR design offers two to three times the detection distance of any conventional IR or UV/IR detector.
