Alarm, Pre-Alarm & Over Limit Ambient Temperature Detection

1. Digital System

At point of risk or area protection - within the most harsh environments (including sub-zero temperatures and electrically hazardous areas). Use of PROLINE line type temperature detection will provide maximum protection of life and capital investment throughout all areas of Industry and Commerce.

System designs allow for direct connection to addressable central alarm control panels and use of a range of Proline interface units - providing volt free output contact signalling, RS232 serial link, pre-alarm signal, multiple (50) additional site programmable alarm outputs.

Proline offers pre-specified alarm temperature levels - without minimum length exposure requirements and no "zone" length design restrictions in higher ambient temperatures. Alarm point location features and continued detection with fault condition registered with open/short circuit fault monitoring of wiring from detector ( interface and sensor cable) to central control panel - in accordance with EN54 standards.

Section replacement of fire/overheat damaged length is approved as would be the case with ALL non metallic cable based linear detection systems - regardless of their operating concept. Claims to the contrary should be personally witnessed pre-specification of a product.

2. Fibre Optic System

The Proline ZENSE system is based on the Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) technology and provides end user customers with the most advanced means of detecting abnormal temperature changes associated with overheat and fire conditions. System features includes unlimited zone configuration on a multi-kms length of fibre, 1.0 metre spatial and temperature resolution, +/- 0.75C temperature recording accuracy and an enhanced visual display option. System presentation is available for either inclusion within customer panel, with a 19" rack mounting assembly or as a stand alone operation. Communication options include Ethernet, USB and RS232 as standard with Modbus (Anybus), modem, OPC, RS485, GPIB and programmable relays as add on modules.

Associated fibre optic cables may be single or double end configured - as standard.

In keeping with the Company concentration on line type detection equipment and systems, moisture detectors and "line of sight" detectors (Beam, Ember, Flame) are available to support our linear temperature detection equipment and systems.
