Welcome to Proline Protection Systems Ltd (PROLINE) and Line Type Fire Detection
A European based group of Limited Liability (Ltd) Companies with global representation in the "special hazard" area of FIBRE OPTIC and DIGITAL Line Type Temperature Detection. A product range suitable for all temperature and environmental conditions.
Proline has 35 years of product and application development experience in an ever increasing range of temperature monitoring, overheat detection (pre-combustion) and fire detection risk areas.
Application design assistance and product supply of UK manufactured and/or stocked internationally approved equipment is supported by a worldwide supervision of installation / commissioning facility (where required) and a 24 hours maximum response to customer email communications - 7 days a week.
The PROLINE range of line type temperature detection has been designed to suit all budgets and risks.
Proline linear temperature sensing systems are designed/manufactured to operate in accordance with latest appropriate International Fire Standards.
The Company "TH" digital linear heat sensor cable is a COMPONENT part of a special hazard detector – which is integrated into an end user customer central fire alarm or building management control panel by an associated interface unit – either of Proline supply or central panel address loop installed device (switch/zone monitor or I/O device). Alarm and fault/trouble conditions on the sensing cable are continuously monitored by the interface. Any Open circuit or short circuit conditions detected on wiring between that interface and the central control panel will be signalled as a FAULT condition. Totally in accordance with EN and NFPA standards.
Manufacturer supplied or central panel address loop installed Interface units will be required regardless of linear heat detection operating concept, equipment manufacturer or supplier.
As all overheat and incipient fire conditions are localised events, certain systems (not supplied by Proline) will – by nature of their temperature/resistance/length relationship- require a temperature far in excess of its re-set level to produce an alarm signal. Exposure to direct flame questions the recoverability of fire detection products of any operating concept and will almost always involve the replacement or repair of much more than a short length of linear heat sensor cable!
